Alerts and Important Information


Roads may not be plowed and snowed in during walk in season and early or late season. Call the park office for road conditions for yurt access.

This yurt requires a 2 night minimum stay from May 1 - November 30th. No minimum night stay from December 1st - Arpil 30th.
Elevated fire ring, table extension and is relatively close to vault toilet. 6 person maximum occupancy.

Things to Bring:

  • Warm sleeping bags, pillows, blankets. There are NO linens provided! Sleeping space for up to 6 people. Two sets of bunk beds, both are twin size over a double size futon. All with mattresses.

  • All utensils
  • Camp stove and fuel
  • Firewood, ax, matches, charcoal

    Food: food, trash bags, coolers, paper products, soap.

    Drinking Water:
  • Summer: Water containers
  • Winter: You will need to bring water; call the park for current conditions.

    Restrooms: Toilet articles, first aid supplies, sunscreen, towels

    Electric: Electric devices

    Lighting: Flashlights or lanterns, extra batteries; for nighttime use outdoors.

    Tables: Lawn chairs, camp chairs

    Parking: Purchase daily park pass for each vehicle that does not have a valid annual park pass. Call the park for current conditions.

    Pets: Collar/tags, '6 leash, bowls, food, meds; color photos in case your pet is lost, w/ph# to reach you. $10 fee/night.

  • Indoor: absolutely no indoor cooking!
  • Outdoor: fire ring, grill. Shelf on deck for your camp stove.

    Food: No stove, no refrigerator, no counter top.

    Drinking Water:
  • Summer: generally avaialble from June to mid-September, nearby yurts.
  • Winter: water not available (September to mid-June)

  • Summer: vault toilets are closest to yurts, flush toilets available in lower campground loop
  • Winter: valut toilets nearby, flush toilets are closed.

    Heating: Fan-forced electric heater

    Electric: Yes

    Lighting: Ceiling light and fan, skylight; lamp on dresser, clamp-on light. Windows provide some natural light.

  • Indoor: Round picnic table and benches; 4 chairs.
  • Outdoor: Picnic table and benches

  • Summer: 2 vehicles next to each yurt from late May to late October, depending on snow.
  • Winter: ROAD IS CLOSED; Vehicles park at entrace, access yurts by ski, snowshoe, or snowmobile. Distance is approximately 1/2 mile.

    Pack out trash when you leave!

    NO PETS are allowed inside yurt #6.
  • Pets brought to the park must be kept on a 6-foot or shorter leash, under physical control at all times!
