ALERT: Our major road renovation project is underway. In order to minimize the disruptions and get as much work completed as quickly as possible some of our campgrounds have been taken off of the reservation system. They may close some of the Loops in these campgrounds while they work in these areas. The work in Rocky Ridge, the Back Country and North Shore C, D and E have been completed and have been put back on the Reservation system. North Shore A and B are still off of the Reservation system. North Shore B will be put back on the Reservation system once they complete the construction in that area. North Shore A will not be on the Reservation system this year.
Roads on the south side of the reservoir, including Witcher's Cove, Howbert Point, Rocking Chair, Rogers Mountain, Lazy Boy and Cross Creek will be re-gravelled during the summer and fall of 2014, but we do not anticipate closures in those areas. Sites in those locations can be reserved a minimum of three days in advance of arrival for visits through September 6th, 2014.
Reservation will continue through September 6th for Stoll Mountain, Cross Creek, Lazy Boy, Rocking Chair, Howbert Point, Witcher’s Cove and the Back Country. After September 6th they will be available on a first come first serve basis until we start reservations again next May
Reservations will continue through September 13th for Rocky Ridge and North Shore, except for the closures. After September 13th they will be available on a first come first serve basis until we start reservations again next May.
Visitors can expect noise and short delays during construction, which will be limited to daylight hours through the summer months. We appreciate your patience while we complete this much-needed project. .
